Who We Are
Sam Spinks
Sam Spinks is a writer, actor and producer and coach. Along with performing in the West End and on screen, as well as writing high-end drama for TV, he has been coaching public speaking for the past few years. He has recently shadowed the training company Dr Theatre, and volunteered for the Spear Public Speaking programme, helping young unemployed teenagers into employment.
He was trained at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and taught by the internationally renowned voice coach, Patsy Rodenburg.
Previously he was a marketing manager and has travelled around the world attending international currency conferences.
Matilda Thorpe
Matilda Thorpe has been working for over 35 years in Film, Television and on stage, including London’s West End.
She trained in improvisation under Doug Nunn, Artistic Director of Theatersports in London and Comedienne Mandy Knight, before co running a highly successful improv club in the centre of London for 10 years, working with many of the the top improvisers and comedians from Whose Line is it Anyway, The Comedy Store players.
Primarily she has been coaching Presentational Skills with Improv for over 20 years with co-run Dr Theatre, which she co-runs, where she has worked for companies internationally including Shell, Bank of Canada, Deutsche Bank, Pipeline and individuals from all walks of life including Banking, NHS, Aviation, and Top Management.
